Open-Air McLaren Performance
Launched in 2017, the McLaren 570S Spider combines the performance and dynamics of the 570S Coupe with an electrically operated two-piece retractable hard-top. Built around McLaren's carbon-fibre MonoCell II structure, the Spider retains the signature dihedral doors and rear-wheel-drive layout of the Sports Series.

This example was originally ordered through McLaren Manchester in July 2018. It was specified in Silica White with Interior Sport Design 3 and an extensive selection of McLaren and McLaren Special Operations options.

The original seats were replaced with lightweight McLaren P1 seats. The original seats weighed approximately 21kg each, while the P1 seats weighed approximately 12kg each.
The wheels were changed to the McLaren 600LT design. The photographs also document the individual wheel weights during the change.
The car visited Suspension Secrets for a specialist fast-road geometry setup and shim installation. The setup was intended to sharpen the car for fast-road use while retaining its usability for road trips and touring.
A contrasting pinstripe was added around the rear diffuser, highlighting the shape of the rear aerodynamic treatment.
A cracked door hinge was identified and replaced under warranty.
A bespoke engine rain cover was fabricated to provide additional protection over the engine-bay opening. The finished cover follows the shape of the rear deck and uses a carbon-effect finish.
